Chapter 355 Where Did Wanda Come From?

Zane dropped down lightly beside her and asked, “Was crashing the wedding chamber fun?”

Claire felt oddly like stre’d been caught red-handed. “You two aren’t asleep yet?” she said, forcing out a laugh

Marcus pushed off, slid down the slide, and stopped with perfect precision right in front of Claire. The on problem was that Claire was still sitting in Davy’s arms.

Marcus tilted his head up, gave her hide skirt a tug, and said, “We finally coaxed all the younglings to sleep. Claire, we stayed up just to wait for you.”

Even with his eyes covered by white cloth, he looked exactly like a puppy begging its owner for a pat on the head.

Before she could fall for it, Claire pinched her own thigh hard.

Marcus was pulling the sweet act again, and there was no way she was falling for it twice.

Just last night Davy had gotten a taste for it and kept her occupied for ages, and her legs were still sore. She couldn’t let Marcus, who had no self-control at all, have his way on top of that.

Claire’s heart melted on the spot. She patted Davy’s head, and he set her gently back on her feet before she turned to Marcus.

“The two of you were waiting for me?”

Marcus, that little troublemaker, wasn’t planning to talk Zane into joining them again tonight, was he?

That was too terrifying to think about.

Just remembering that one night made Claire’s legs go weak, and she waved both hands in front of her.

“No, no. Absolutely not!”

Zane’s mouth curved into a gentle smile. He saw right through her, and he bit back a laugh as he said, “Claire, what are you talking about? What’s absolutely not?”
