Chloe Reed sneezed loudly.

Lydia Moore poured her a glass of warm water. "Need some cold medicine?"

Chloe shook her head and took the glass. "Thanks, I'm fine."

Lydia watched her, unable to hold back her thoughts. "Ms. Reed, actually, the best way to shut down rumors is to prove your own strength..."

"Since you're already Mr. Shaw's assistant, maybe you could work harder, improve yourself, and make your skills match the position."

She tried to phrase it as gently as possible. "Next time you get a consultation call from a visitor like that, you could try handling it on your own."

"Alright, thank you," Chloe smiled.

"You've got this," Lydia said.

She was about to leave, but seeing Chloe sitting all alone in the office, she paused and reconsidered.

"Um... do you want to go downstairs and grab a coffee?"

"Sure," Chloe agreed readily.

She actually missed the taste of the coffee shop downstairs.

The two of them took the elevator down together.

As soon as the elevator doors opened, a commotion echoed through the lobby. A massive crowd had gathered.

Lydia frowned and strode over. "What's going on?"

"That gentleman is extremely agitated. He said Andrea scammed him..."

"What?" Lydia's face darkened. "That troublemaker!"

She hurried toward the center of the crowd. Right in the middle, a Caucasian man in a suit was red in the face with anger, pointing right at Andrea Vance's nose and shouting.

"It's her! She claimed to be Caroline Monet's student, which is why I chose her!"

"But Caroline just tweeted a clarification herself! This woman is a fraud, using Caroline's name to scam people!"

Lydia was about to intervene, but Andrea beat her to it, screaming hysterically.

The security guards rushed over. Just as they were about to throw the man out, the elevator doors suddenly opened.

A woman of extraordinary elegance, surrounded by subordinates, stepped out briskly.

The people nearby straightened their backs involuntarily upon seeing her, lowering their heads respectfully. "Director Sterling."

Andrea's face paled when she saw her, a flash of panic in her eyes.

But she reacted swiftly, immediately stepping forward and almost jogging over, crying out pitifully.

"Monica, this person is here causing trouble. I was just about to have him thrown out..."

Monica pushed past her, walking straight toward the man in the suit and extending her hand.

"Secretary General Whitmore, welcome."
