The Wife He Dumped, The Queen She Returned As novel Chapter 330

"I feel that this point alone is enough reason to keep Chloe away from such an important event."

Monica looked at her. "Then who do you suggest we choose?"

Her tone carried a hint of imposing pressure.

But Andrea's answer was entirely unexpected.

"Ms. Sylvain is available tomorrow. For an event this important, I believe she should be the one to do it."

The others immediately nodded in agreement. "True."

"Since Ms. Sylvain is free, having her do it is definitely the safest bet."

"Yeah, I've heard Dr. Sharpe has incredibly high standards. An average person would never catch her eye."

Amidst the chatter, Isabella slowly stood up, offering a faint, modest smile.

"I am indeed available tomorrow, but we must respect Monica's and Ms. Reed's opinions."

Monica looked at Chloe, a trace of conflict in her eyes.

Andrea's words had been blunt and rude, but they weren't entirely baseless.

Isabella also turned to Chloe, smiling softly.

"Ms. Reed, if you have any thoughts, you can just say them. There's no need to hold back."

Chloe's expression remained perfectly neutral as she spoke.

"I'll follow whatever the institute decides. I'm fine either way."

Isabella raised a delicate eyebrow.

Andrea sneered. "Ms. Reed, it's not that we don't support you. It's just that your current situation makes you completely unsuitable. You should be able to see that, right? You need to consider the rest of us."

Monica watched Andrea deliberately target Chloe and couldn't help but frown.

They had worked closely together for an entire year. Even though Caroline Monet had always worn a mask, surely Andrea couldn't be so blind as to not recognize her at all?

It was an absolute waste of the kindness Caroline had once shown this little assistant, only to be paid back with such blatant mockery and hostility now.

Monica's gaze toward Andrea grew impatient.

Yet, she finally said, "Then Isabella will do it."

Chloe looked at her, her gaze turning frosty.

Pinned under those amber eyes, Andrea felt an inexplicable chill run down her spine.

Just then, Isabella walked over.

"Ms. Reed, your focus really should be on handling your personal affairs."

"Especially making sure you don't drag Mr. Shaw down with you. What happened yesterday was terrible for everyone's image."

Chloe replied evenly, "Instead of pretending to care about my life, you should be figuring out how you're going to host Dr. Sharpe tomorrow."

She knew Liana.

When she got serious, she wouldn't spare anyone's pride.

"That's none of your concern."

Andrea gloated, "Ms. Sylvain is exceptional. Once Dr. Sharpe spends time with her, she's guaranteed to love her. She might even make her her protégé on the spot!"

"After all, that's exactly how Caroline Monet became her protégé—by hosting Dr. Sharpe just one time."
