The Wife He Dumped, The Queen She Returned As novel Chapter 368

Jenna's tears flowed freely as she forced herself to stand, her expression stubborn.

"I'm sorry... I know you hate me, but I only came to pay my respects to Mr. Goodwin..."

Rhonda spoke through gritted teeth. "I'm not going to say it again. Get out."

The tension in the air was suffocating.

Someone nearby tried to smooth things over. "Rhonda, Jenna just wanted to do the right thing, you can't blame her for everything..."

"Yeah, she genuinely came to say goodbye. Let's not make a scene."

Rhonda exploded. "She's genuine? If she were genuine, she wouldn't have gone out of her way to say those vile things to my dad! She deliberately pushed him over the edge and put him in the hospital!"

Another chimed in, "She's crying her eyes out, and people still have the nerve to question her intentions!"

Jenna fluttered her eyes open, looking weakly up at the man holding her.

"Preston... I'm sorry..."

As the last word slipped past her lips, her eyes fluttered shut once more.

Chloe stared at her meticulously crafted 'no-makeup makeup' look. She could even tell the redness around Jenna's eyes was the work of expertly applied blush. The longer she looked, the more repulsive it became.

She grabbed a glass of water from a nearby table and marched straight toward Jenna.

"What are you doing?" someone yelped, trying to stop her.

Preston also looked up. "Chloe..."
