The Wife He Forgot to Marry novel Chapter 107

Winona suddenly laughed. "What could be wrong? You and your mother were so desperate for me to have a baby, making me take injections and medication. Did you ever once care about my health?"

Yulen frowned. "I thought you wanted a child too. If you're not feeling well and don't want to try for a baby right now, then I won't force you."

After all, Tallulah was already pregnant. Whether Winona had a child or not wasn't so important anymore.

Yulen added, "Let's go to my parents’ place for dinner tomorrow. I've spoken with Mom. She'll be nicer to you from now on and won't pressure you about having a baby like she used to."

Winona found him incredibly hypocritical. He had watched her suffer Willow's torment for years and never intervened. Only now that she wanted to leave was he trying to smooth things over.

Still, going to the Locke Villa wasn't a bad idea. She knew Willow despised her. If she could provoke Willow enough to get thrown out, that would be a victory.

"Okay," she agreed.

Seeing her agree, Yulen assumed their previous argument was behind them. His mood brightened. "Great. I'll get your pajamas. You get some rest."

The next morning, Winona and Yulen went to the Locke Villa together. Willow, Paige, and Camille were all there.

Camille was polite enough, inviting her to sit for coffee, but her tone, though pleasant, was still condescending.

For Yulen's sake, Willow didn't say anything, but her expression was cold as she sipped her coffee.

Willow listed a few dishes, then added, "And remember, don't make it too salty. Theron's eating with us, and children shouldn't have too much salt."

After giving instructions, she let the housekeeper go. This time, she didn't ask Winona to help in the kitchen. Yulen had clearly said something, so she was reining herself in.

Paige's son, Theron, rushed in from the patio with a water gun and sprayed Winona, soaking her dress.

"Oh, sorry, Winona," Paige said with a dismissive apology. "He's just a kid, he doesn't know any better. Just wipe it off. I'll take Theron to play somewhere else."

With that, she had the nanny carry Theron away.
