Ophelia had seen Stefan and Winona get into the elevator and had tried to catch up, but she was a step too late. Biting her lip in frustration, she waited for the elevator to return.
Just then, a colleague named Corin walked up, holding a makeup bag that Winona had left behind.
"Ms. Powell, have you seen Winona?" Corin asked.
"She just went downstairs," Ophelia replied.
Corin looked relieved. "Ms. Powell, I have an urgent task to finish. If you're heading down anyway, could you please give this to Winona? She forgot it."
Ophelia smiled graciously and took the bag. "Of course, no problem."
After Corin thanked her and left, Ophelia stepped into the elevator and immediately opened Winona's makeup bag. She scoffed at the cheap products inside. *So she's still this pathetic even after marrying into the Locke family,* she thought with disdain. *No wonder she's so desperate to seduce Stefan.*
Suddenly, her eyes fell on a man's watch nestled inside. She recognized it instantly. It was Stefan's.
How did it end up in Winona's possession?
Ophelia's face turned to ice.
Down in the parking lot, Stefan offered Winona a ride home.
"Thank you, but I have plans today," Winona said, shaking her head.
Yulen had messaged her before she left work, saying they needed to visit Nikita in the hospital together. To keep Nikita from worrying, she had to maintain the appearance of a harmonious marriage.
Spotting Yulen's car, Winona said her goodbyes to Stefan and started to walk away when she heard Ophelia's voice call out from behind. "Winona, you forgot something."
Winona turned to see Ophelia holding out her makeup bag. She took it with a word of thanks.
"Don't mention it!" Ophelia said brightly.
As they drove away, Ophelia turned to Stefan with a saccharine smile. "Winona and Yulen seem to be getting along so well, don't you think? Willow even told me they've been trying for a baby."
Stefan’s voice was frigid. "Is that so?"

In the car, Yulen carefully watched Winona's expression. Seeing she wasn't angry, he finally spoke. "Winona, you're not upset that I didn't remove Tallulah from the team after she framed you, are you?"
He had been worried she would distance herself from him and had already devised several ways to appease her.
Winona's face was a mask of indifference. "Why would I be angry? I understand you did it for the good of the Locke Group."
Her anger wouldn't change anything anyway. Besides, she was long past caring about anything they did.
