The Wife He Forgot to Marry novel Chapter 182

Since Helena wasn't off work yet, Winona took Greta back to her own condo to do her homework. As they got out of the car in front of the building, Winona and Greta waved goodbye to Julian and Jewel.

Once Julian's car was gone, they took the elevator up to the condo. It was Greta’s second time here, and she was still struck by how luxurious it was. She knew Yulen was rich, but she didn’t particularly like him. She had seen him at the hospital entrance several times, dropping off a strange woman. They had even been kissing. Greta knew what that meant—cheating. It was just like what her own father had done before he and her mother got divorced. She couldn't understand why a beautiful, kind woman like her cousin wasn't cherished. But she was too young to do anything to help.

Inside, Winona poured Greta a glass of water and reminded her to start her homework. Then, she took out her own laptop to get some work done.

At 8:30 PM, the doorbell rang. Winona assumed it was Helena coming to pick up Greta. When she opened the door, however, she was met with the sight of Yulen, his face a dark mask of fury.

Before his flight that morning, he'd had his assistant keep an eye on Winona. The moment he landed in Riverton, he received photos of her having dinner with Julian. He felt like she had completely ignored his warnings. She knew Julian had ulterior motives, yet she still got close to him. Was she that naive, or was she doing it on purpose?

Anger and jealousy churned within him. Instinctively, his hand clamped around Winona’s waist. He leaned in to kiss her, determined to make her recognize exactly whose woman she was.

Winona hadn’t expected this the moment he returned and tried to push him away, but her strength was no match for his. He pinned her against the wall. She turned her head to dodge his kiss, but he seized her chin, his cold gaze fixed on her as if she were cornered prey.

Furious, Winona kicked at him, but he didn't budge. His voice was laced with fire. “Do you enjoy seducing other men that much? Winona, get it through your head—I’m your man.”

She thrashed against him, but her resistance only fueled his rage. His grip on her throat tightened. Winona’s eyes widened, and her face turned red as she struggled to breathe. “Let go.”
