The Wife He Forgot to Marry (Winona and Yule) novel Chapter 615

Seeing Greta looking a bit ruffled, Stefan turned to Helena. "Helena, why don't you take Greta back to the room to change?"

Helena nodded.

Mr. Charlton hurried over, offering to escort them upstairs personally.

"Get back to work," Stefan dismissed him flatly.

Taking the hint, Charlton led the other executives away.

Upstairs, Winona had been clearing out her work emails when she heard about the incident. She quickly went over to her aunt's room. Greta had already changed into a fresh dress, her hair neatly re-tied, and was happily working on a puzzle on the bed.

Helena recounted the whole ordeal.

Winona frowned. "That kid crossed the line."

"Stefan already took care of it and put them in their place," Helena reassured her. "Let's just drop it."

Just then, the doorbell chimed. Helena opened it to find a staff member with a room service cart loaded with fresh fruit and elegant pastries.

"We didn't order this," Helena said. "Are you at the right room?"

"Yes, ma'am," the server replied with a polite smile. "Mr. Zeller sent this up. He wanted to extend his sincerest apologies."

Helena nodded. "Understood. Please tell Mr. Zeller we consider the matter closed."

The server wheeled the cart inside and bowed out. Helena had Greta wash her hands before handing her a plate of fruit and a slice of cake. For a child, a sweet treat was all it took to clear the storm clouds.

Meanwhile, Yulen Locke had been obsessively refreshing Winona's social media. When she posted pictures of her family's weekend getaway, he scrutinized every pixel. In the group photo, the faces were covered with emojis, but the silhouette of the man standing next to Winona was painfully familiar.

He suspected it was Stefan Goddard, but part of him denied it. A man of Stefan's status wouldn't be serious about Winona, let alone waste a weekend playing house with her relatives.

Desperate for confirmation, he tracked down Helena's account and found her latest post. It was the same group photo, but without the emojis.

The man standing faithfully by Winona's side was undeniably Stefan.

It felt as if a handful of crushed glass had been ground into Yulen's heart. The sharp, suffocating pain left him struggling to breathe. He threw his phone onto the desk, his mind a chaotic mess.

His assistant knocked on the door. Getting no answer, he tentatively pushed it open. "Mr. Locke? I need your signature on these..."

Before the assistant could finish, Yulen exploded. Blinded by rage and jealousy, he swept his arm across the desk, sending files, pens, and his coffee mug crashing to the floor. His eyes were wide, bloodshot, and filled with a bitter, toxic resentment.
