Winona was his little girl. She deserved the absolute best luxury penthouses and sports cars his money could buy. As for Forrest, he was his heir. He needed to be integrated into the Scully Group's executive board immediately.
Sylvan practically floated, imagining a picturesque future where his brilliant kids doted on him in his old age. Plus, with the kids as a bridge, he'd have an excuse to see Wynne constantly. It would drive her current husband insane. Ryder Powell had played house with his wife for years—it was time he paid the price.
His phone suddenly rang. His legal team.
"What is it?"
"Mr. Scully, Giselle is begging to see you."
Sylvan scoffed. Giselle was completely useless to him now. "Tell her to lose my number. She was an employee, and she's been fired. If she has any brains, she'll disappear."
"She's currently in police custody," the lawyer explained. "Wynne Walden is pressing charges, and she's asking for your help to post bail."
"What exactly is Wynne charging her with?"
"Drugging her and Winona, attempting manslaughter by locking Winona in a commercial freezer, and wire fraud totaling over fifty million. The evidence is bulletproof. She's looking at heavy prison time."
Sylvan was stunned. "That psychotic bitch went after my family?! And she thinks I'm going to save her? Let her rot in a cell!"
"Understood."
