The Wife He Forgot to Marry (Winona and Yule) novel Chapter 715

On Saturday afternoon, Winona and Stefan walked into the upscale restaurant hand in hand.

Wynne and Ryder were already seated. It was their first official family lunch, and both of them had dressed to the nines for the occasion.

Winona handed Wynne a beautiful bouquet of pink roses. "These are for you, Mom."

Wynne's face lit up with pure joy as she took them. "Thank you, sweetheart."

Over a decade ago, Wynne had visited a friend whose six-year-old daughter loved plucking flowers from the garden and proudly presenting them to her mother. Her friend had jokingly complained that the garden was going to be completely bare soon. Wynne had been so envious back then. She had thought to herself that if she had her daughter with her, she would plant an entire estate of flowers just so her little girl could pick as many as she wanted.

Holding Winona's bouquet now, those old wounds slowly began to heal. Her daughter loved her, and that was all that mattered.

A few minutes later, Forrest arrived with Simone.

When Simone had first learned that Forrest was actually the biological son of the ultra-wealthy Wynne Walden, her anxiety had spiked. For days, she had clung to his arm, nervously asking, "Now that you have your real family, you're not going to dump me, are you?"

Despite her own privileged upbringing, Simone had grown up without a mother and struggled with deep-seated insecurities. In relationships, she constantly feared being abandoned. Forrest's humble beginnings hadn't been a flaw to her; they were a comfort. She had always felt that if someone as brilliant and handsome as Forrest also came from old money, she would never be able to hold onto him.

Learning about his true heritage had sent her spiraling.

Forrest had found her panic both amusing and heartbreaking. He spent days reassuring her that nothing would change between them, even promising to put all his assets in her name if she was genuinely worried that money would change him.

Slowly, Simone had allowed herself to be comforted. Still, meeting the parents had her nerves on edge. Following Forrest's lead, she blurted out, "Mom, Dad," when greeting Wynne and Ryder.
