Margaret exploded. "That's my granddaughter! How can she take the Powell name?"

"You refuse to accept Winona, and you refuse to acknowledge Audrey. Why on earth would they put her on the Goddard register?" Violet countered smoothly. "Besides, Winona gave birth to her. She can choose whatever family name she wants for her child. Oh, and just so we're clear—I am officially Audrey's great-grandmother. You, however, don't count as her grandmother at all. Because they simply don't want you."

Margaret's chest heaved with agonizing rage. Stefan and Winona were doing this on purpose to humiliate her.
