Natalie's first move was to try visiting the Sheridan estate herself, using a previously scheduled appointment with Cora as an excuse.
However, she was immediately turned away at the gate, with the staff coldly claiming that Cora was 'recovering from a fright' and couldn't see anyone.
Out of options, Natalie marched straight to the hospital room next door.
Just as expected, Hassan was there keeping Gardenia and Adrian company. Standing at the door, she demanded, "Take me to see Jude Sheridan. Now."
Natalie noticed an immediate shift in Gardenia's eyes. Gardenia looked at Hassan, her expression practically screaming that she didn't want him to leave.
Natalie kept her gaze locked dead on Hassan.
Hassan slowly stood up. "Why do you need to see him?"
Natalie offered no explanation, merely stating, "I need to see Cora immediately."
Whether it was to investigate the true cause of the drowning incident or simply for Mia's sake, there was no way Natalie was going to turn a blind eye to this.
Gardenia looked up, staring intently at Hassan. "Adrian will definitely ask for you the second he wakes up."
Natalie aggressively grabbed Hassan by the wrist and yanked him toward the door. "Then he can wait until he wakes up."
Gardenia barely had time to register what was happening. Her lips parted, but she could only watch helplessly as Natalie dragged him away.
Staring at their retreating figures, a surge of irritation twisted in her chest.
She pulled out her phone, originally intending to text Jacob Holt to complain. But after a second thought, she messaged Marvin Ford instead.
A long time passed, and Marvin didn't reply.
Finally, she texted Jacob. "Jacob, Adrian is craving some of his favorite shrimp scampi, but I can't leave the hospital to go buy it."
He replied almost instantly. "No problem, I'll go grab some. I was planning on dropping by to see you guys anyway."
She sent a quick thanks, then casually added, "I haven't seen Marvin around lately. Has he been super busy?"
