Natalie offered her only one piece of advice: "Your work is the last shred of freedom you have. Don't ever let it go."

That evening, Natalie signed her discharge papers. While waiting for the elevator, her phone rang. It was Marvin, his voice tight with urgency. "Jacob called today. He insisted I bring you to meet them. I said no, but the whole thing feels suspicious. Do you think they figured something out?"

Natalie immediately thought of Gardenia hiring someone to tail Nancy. "Someone is probably just getting a little too curious about the name Seven," she said.

"Just keep saying no to them," she advised him.

"Got it. By the way, how are you feeling? I was worried that visiting you might raise suspicions."

"I'm fine. I'm literally checking out right now, so don't worry."

The moment she finished speaking, a tall, imposing shadow fell over her right side.

She glanced over. It was Hassan, with Jacob standing right beside him.

Hassan was staring down at her with an unreadable expression.

Natalie hung up the phone and walked into the elevator, acting as if they didn't exist.

Naturally, the two men followed her in.

The second Natalie saw Jacob, she knew her peace and quiet were over. Sure enough, before the doors even closed, Jacob started in. "What are you doing here?"

Staring straight ahead, Natalie replied breezily, "I'm vacationing at the hospital."

"You pushed Gardenia into the water on purpose, didn't you?" Jacob growled. "If there weren't a blind spot with the cameras, you'd be vacationing in a jail cell right now!"

Natalie turned her sharp gaze on him. "If there weren't a blind spot with the cameras, I'd be suing you for defamation right now."
