As soon as they stepped out of the elevator, Hassan casually remarked, "There's an indoor pool on the third floor. You can go once your ankle is fully healed."
"There's nothing fun about it." Natalie walked straight into the bedroom.
The moment she stepped inside, Hassan's phone started ringing. She caught a quick glimpse of the screen—it was Gardenia calling.
Hassan held his phone and walked toward the balcony. "I need to take this."
Natalie didn't say a word, and he didn't even wait for a response before stepping outside.
Natalie spoke up. "Hassan, don't you think you're absolutely disgusting?"
He froze mid-step.
Natalie continued, "You keep claiming you're just friends, yet here you are taking her calls this late at night. It's one thing to lie to others, but are you really trying to lie to yourself too?"
He turned around, his gaze casually sweeping over her. "Aside from being Gardenia, she's also the team leader of our new project. If she's calling this late, it's highly likely to be about work."
"Oh, so reading bedtime stories to Adrian is part of your job description too?" Natalie sneered. "I'd love to know which department at the Carlson Group assigns that kind of task. Or is it just Hassan Carlson's exclusive cheating division?"
Her words dripped with venom.
Hassan's brow furrowed, clearly irritated by her outburst. "Say whatever you want."
"Oh, so now I can say whatever I want? Then why the hell did you sleep with me last night?!" She grabbed the nearest glass lamp and hurled it at him.
Hassan dodged, and the glass shattered against the floor.
The atmosphere in the room instantly plummeted to freezing. "When are you going to fix your habit of throwing things?"
"If you can't stand it, sign the divorce."
His knuckles turned white as he gripped his phone. He lowered his eyes, forced himself to calm down, and replied casually, "Wait until your grandmother finishes her surgery. Once that's done, you can divorce me whenever you want. But until then, you are Mrs. Carlson. Know your place and stop going around flirting with other men."
Natalie had absolutely zero intention of flirting with anyone.
"If you can practice what you preach, then I'll do the same," she sneered. "But since you obviously can't, don't expect me to."
She turned around and stormed into the bathroom.
