A moment later, Professor Adler sent a message saying they had gone upstairs.

Natalie went back out and stepped into the elevator.

By the time she reached her room, her suitcase was already securely placed inside.

She didn't open it right away, opting to lie on the bed for a while instead.

A notification pinged on her phone.

She checked it and saw it was actually a call from the front desk.

Upon answering, a voice on the other end spoke apologetically:

"I'm so sorry, miss. Because your suitcase looks identical to another guest's, our staff accidentally mixed them up. We have your correct luggage now. Could you please open your door so we can exchange them? Thank you for your understanding."

Natalie's heart tightened. She looked at the suitcase on the floor, unzipped it to check, and sure enough, it wasn't hers.

"Okay."

As soon as Natalie opened the door and lifted her gaze, she saw Hassan standing there, his eyes lowered slightly as he met her stare.

A hotel staff member stood beside him, holding her suitcase.

"You." She was at a loss for words for a moment.

He explained, "Gardenia opened the suitcase. Your clothes were inside, and I recognized them."

"You deliberately had the front desk call to get me to come out."

"You hid your travel destination from me, and it turns out to be here? Where are your friends?"

"Stop snooping." She blocked his line of sight. "My friends aren't staying in the same room as me."

Natalie sneered. "Gardenia opened the suitcase, yet you saw it. Are you two sharing a room? I've truly never seen 'friends' take it to that level."

"Jealous?" he asked.

"Give me the suitcase."

She grabbed the luggage directly, not wanting to say anything more.

But Hassan followed her inside. She glared at him, and he said coolly, "Getting the other suitcase."

With that, he handed Gardenia's luggage to the staff member at the door and said, "Just take this one up."

He showed no intention of leaving.

Natalie looked at the staff member. "Please do not let unauthorized personnel into my room."
