At the base of the Sky Garden building, Natalie saw the car Hassan had just driven off in parked in the lot.

She suddenly felt the urge to laugh. She had thought something was wrong with Gardenia again, but it turned out to be a date.

Her interest in seeing the place evaporated instantly. She wandered into a random coffee shop, ordered a drink, and sat by the window, staring blankly ahead.

Watching the flow of traffic and people outside while being completely alone, her mind gradually settled down.

A little while later, seeing that her cup was empty, she stood up, ready to pay and leave.

Outside the glass window, she spotted Gardenia and Hassan walking side-by-side along the street. Gardenia was pointing at a skyscraper, chatting and laughing with him.

The two of them seemed to have been here together before.

Just like when she had followed them to Kingswood University, where every corner held a beautiful memory of theirs, while she—just like at this very moment—was nothing more than an outsider.

"Natalie." A suddenly familiar voice called out to her.

She turned around and saw that Ferris had just happened to walk in to buy a coffee. What a remarkable twist of fate.

"You aren't planning to go check out that popular Sky Garden too, are you?" she asked him.

He nodded. "I am. You too? Do you want to go together?"

Thinking about how she had just seen Hassan and Gardenia outside, figuring they had probably already finished their tour, she agreed to go with him.

Ferris smiled and offered to buy her a coffee. She initially wanted to refuse, since she had just finished one.

But he pointed to a new item on the menu. "I really want to try this one, but they only sell it as a pair."

She nodded. "Alright. I'll have another one, then."

With a coffee in each of their hands, the two stepped into the glass elevator.

Just as the doors were about to close, someone pressed the button from the outside.

Seeing the people walking in, she froze instantly, her gaze dropping as she took a step back.

It was Hassan and Gardenia. They were standing very close, their shoulders brushing.
