After sending it, his phone began vibrating relentlessly. Message after message poured in from Natalie.
He didn't look at a single one. He strode out of the private room and stepped into the elevator.
When he reached the underground parking garage, Julian, knowing Hassan had rushed here driving himself without a chauffeur, quickly offered, "Let me drive you—"
Before he could even finish the sentence, the tall figure had already yanked the car door open and slammed it shut with a deafening thud.
Seconds later, the car peeled out right in front of Julian, leaving him eating dust.
The car sped all the way back into the Sycamore Quays parking garage.
His phone was still buzzing nonstop with notification alerts.
He knew perfectly well it was Natalie.
Those explicit photos kept flashing relentlessly in his mind.
He pushed the front door open and saw Natalie standing in the living room, clutching her phone. Hearing him enter, she looked up.
He walked straight toward her, and without missing a beat, she slapped him hard across the face.
Those kickboxing classes she had been taking were paying off. The sheer force of the strike left a burning, red welt across his cheek instantly.
An uncontrollable rage flared in his eyes. He grabbed her wrists and pinned her violently against the wall. "Are you out of your damn mind?"
"Why do you have those photos?" Her voice was trembling. "What, did you team up with Chloe? Are you using them to blackmail me?"
"Me? Blackmail you? What the hell do you have that's worth blackmailing?" His voice was venomous. "You're completely useless."
"Then why did you send them to me?"
"Why did you even take pictures like that to begin with?" he demanded, his dark eyes boring intensely into hers.
"Because I felt like it! What does it matter to you? It's not like I showed them to you." Her pinned hands were shaking slightly. She had slapped him so hard her palm was still numb.
