"Huh? How could I possibly list them all? There are way too many, I can't even remember. Plus, to be honest, whenever anyone from your circle asks, I keep everything strictly confidential. Didn't you tell me before that you prefer to keep a low profile and asked me not to disclose your personal information?"
"Got it." Natalie turned to leave, but Linda called out, trying to retain her business. "Ms. Thornton, since you're already here, why don't you check out our latest arrivals before you go?"
Natalie glanced back with a cold smile. "I will never buy anything from you again. You have your difficulties, but I have my choices."
Linda's face darkened instantly.
Natalie was currently her top client. Because she hadn't visited lately, Linda's commission bonus had plummeted by more than half.
Watching Natalie walk away, Linda muttered under her breath, "What's so great about her? She just relies on a man. Once the mistress takes her spot, let's see who she can act arrogant with."
After leaving the boutique, Natalie used the stamp on the document to track down the professional testing facility.
The director of the facility was a lean, gray-haired man.
When he came out to meet her, he was still wiping his hands with a paper towel, clearly having just washed them.
Natalie stared at him intently. "Mr. Chadwick."
The man standing before her was exactly the father of her childhood friend, Coralie Chadwick.
"When did you switch to this industry?" Natalie was incredibly surprised, but even more shocking was how drastically he had aged. How could a man in his forties or fifties have hair this entirely gray? She remembered seeing him just a few years ago when his hair was still jet black.
Sean walked over to the sofa and sat down. "I've been doing this for a long time. I never expected you to come looking for me."
Natalie handed him the document. "I came because of this."
He took it and looked it over. "You're here to ask if these results are real or fake?"
He was a straightforward person, and Natalie preferred it that way. "Yes. This is very important to me. It's better if you just tell me directly. If the answer is no, I'm going to take this to another facility for verification anyway."
"Natalie, your personality hasn't changed one bit." His gaze moved from the document to her face, and he stayed silent for a long time. His eyes were slightly red as he looked at her. "Coralie..."
