Yet, he kept his posture perfectly straight, looking neither left nor right. He walked beside the waiter with a calm and collected grace, exuding an unmistakably noble aura.

The man was Finn.

Natalie still remembered how Finn had struggled to afford his tuition back in the day, especially with a sick relative desperately needing medical funds at home. Her grandpa had used his own salary to pay for his school fees, personally sponsored his living expenses, and frequently invited him over for dinner.

Out of gratitude to her grandpa, Finn had always treated her incredibly well. Since he was a few years older, he would casually help her with her homework whenever he came over to eat.

Why was he here?

Rooted to the spot, Natalie watched as the waiter led Finn up to the second floor.

The restaurant had an open dining area on the first floor and private rooms on the second. Finn certainly wouldn't have been willing to splurge on a private room here himself.

She glanced at Hassan, tipping her chin in that direction. "That's Finn."

Hassan looked at her first before turning his gaze toward the man. "You recognized him from this far away?"

"We know each other really well. It'd be weird if I couldn't." Natalie kept her voice low to avoid waking the child.

Hassan's tone, however, was flat. "Really well?"

He frowned. "Why don't I know him?"

"I only ever saw him because my grandpa invited him over for dinner. Considering how rarely you came to my house for meals, it's totally normal that you never met him."

His dark eyes locked onto her, his tone casual but sharp. "You know that's not what I'm asking. If you know him so well, why haven't I ever heard you mention his name?"
