If that was the case, Suzie had no more questions.
“You should rest for a bit,” Mia added. “This villa is the Baylor Group’s private studio, so it has every kind of set you could imagine. I’m going to go check on the swimming pool setup.”
With that, she hurried off.
A few minutes later, Mia ran back, slightly out of breath. “Suzie, everything’s ready! I’m telling the crew to move some of the smaller items over now. I’ll go arrange the sun umbrellas and chairs by the rest area, and then we can start.”
After her report, she darted back toward the group of crew members huddled by the equipment.
“Mia, slow down! The shoot is going well, we have plenty of time,” Suzie called after her, but Mia just waved and shouted back a cheerful, “Okay, Suzie!” as she ran.
About an hour into the poolside shoot, one of the models had clearly lost her patience. She climbed out of the pool with a look of pure fury, snatched the towel her assistant offered, and threw it onto the ground.
At five-foot-nine, she moved with a professional model’s haughty strut as she stalked toward Suzie. “Are you supposed to be some famous photographer? I’ve never seen you before, never even heard your name. Do you even know how to get a proper shot? Do you have any idea how much water I’ve swallowed? All you do is say, ‘Again, again!’ Why don’t you get in the pool and try it yourself?”
The model crossed her arms, her voice dripping with venom as she glared at Suzie.
Then, she called out, “Mia, could you come here for a second? And bring the work files with you.”
Mia heard the summons and immediately ran over, clutching the large binder that held all the documents.
With complete composure, Suzie instructed her, “Please open the client’s contract to article twenty-seven and read it out loud, word for word.”
Mia quickly found the correct page, cleared her throat, and began to read. “In the event that any model or other relevant personnel fails to cooperate during the photography process, Party B reserves the right to request an immediate replacement. Party A and Party B are in full agreement on this clause.”
