The Years Between Signing and Seeing novel Chapter 332

The next morning.

Suzie went through her usual routine. She helped the children wash up and get through breakfast. Afterward, the nannies and the driver took them to kindergarten, while she headed to Timefly Studio.

The moment she stepped into her office, she froze. Her desk and the surrounding tables were completely buried under massive bouquets of her favorite flowers.

There were so many blooms that she could barely see the furniture beneath them.

The entire room smelled like a high-end botanical garden.

"Coffee, Suzie," Mia chimed, stepping into the room with a bright smile.

Mia carefully navigated the floral maze and set the cup on the only clear spot on the desk.

Suzie pointed at the extravagant display. "What is all this?"

Mia shrugged, looking just as confused. "I have no idea. It was like this when I got here this morning. No one seems to know who sent them."

Suzie began digging through the petals, searching for a card. "Go ask the front desk."

Mia nodded. "On it."

A few minutes later, Mia jogged back into the office.

"The receptionist said the delivery arrived right when we opened," Mia reported. "The delivery guys said the flowers were for the owner of the champagne sports car. You are the only one here who drives that."

Chester.

Suzie frowned. It had to be him. There was no one else who fit the bill.

She had not even had the time to go pick up the car yet.

What was he playing at, sending her all these flowers?

Suzie checked the time. She had to get to the studio set today and had zero patience for rich-boy games.

Suzie slowly took a seat across from him. She took a moment to gather her thoughts.

"If he drags me into a custody battle, I will fight him," she said, her voice trembling slightly. "I carried them. I raised them. I took care of them every single day, and I have the financial means to provide a stable life. A judge would not just hand my kids over to him, would they?"

Hayden leaned forward. "I told you not to worry about that. If he has top-tier lawyers, I will hire better ones. I will do everything in my power to protect you."

Suzie gripped her hands together, her fingers twisting nervously in her lap.

Even with Hayden's confident reassurance, the sheer terror of losing her children consumed her.

She could not stomach the thought of her babies being taken away to live with a man like Jamie.

It would destroy her.

Hayden saw the sheer panic in her eyes and softened his tone.

"Take a deep breath," he urged. "Besides, didn't you say the paternity test came back negative? He probably still thinks he is not the father. Though, I have to admit, I am baffled by that. If he hired a top-tier medical lab, how did they manage to botch the results?"
