The Years Between Signing and Seeing novel Chapter 581

As soon as Suzie finished speaking, Crystal Solomon let out a bright, hearty laugh.

"You claim you're not good at socializing, Ms. Sterling, but your sharp wit and emotional intelligence put my entire PR team to shame."

"You flatter me, Ms. Solomon," Suzie said, rising gracefully to her feet. "My friends are probably getting thirsty, so I won't overstay my welcome." She paused, her gaze holding Crystal's with meaningful intensity. "A lot of things in life have to be actively fought for. Sitting around and waiting won't get you anywhere. Goodbye, Ms. Solomon."

Crystal narrowed her eyes as she watched Suzie walk away.

Usually, photographers treated her like royalty, tripping over themselves to shower her with compliments. But Suzie Sterling was entirely different—poised, grounded, and unapologetically confident.

If she didn't have serious backing, where did that quiet authority come from? Besides, how could a relatively unknown photographer afford to open such a massive, high-end studio? Rumor had it that her books were already full for months.

Crystal turned Suzie's parting words over in her mind. At first, she hadn't quite caught the underlying message, but piecing the conversation together... was Suzie telling her to go after Jamie Baylor?

Did that mean there truly was nothing going on between Suzie and Jamie anymore?

...

The next day.

After dropping the kids off at school and organizing the studio's daily schedule, Suzie called Aaron Stillman.

"Aaron, the situation with Myron Finch has been handled. They won't be asking for any money."

Aaron's voice pitched up in surprise. "Ms. Sterling, what do you mean?"
