Three years of loving him, three days to erase myself from his world novel Chapter 300

Seraphina froze. Realizing who it was, she sniffled, blinked back her tears, and took the handkerchief from his hand. "I wasn't crying," she muttered. "I just got something in my eye..."

The man sighed softly. "I saw everything."

"Sera, Julian has changed. His patience for you is running out. Can't you see that? Even as an outsider, I can see it plain as day."

"The only thing keeping him by your side right now is the debt he owes you from years ago. But secrets can't be kept forever... One day, he's going to find out the truth."

At those words,

Seraphina's face twisted into an ugly grimace. Her nails dug fiercely into her palms as she forced herself not to lash out.

The man spoke gently. "So let's leave. I'll take you out of the country. Don't you love the ocean? I bought a villa in the Maldives. You can wake up to the ocean every day... We can build a wonderful life there."

His offer was undeniably tempting.

Yet Seraphina didn't feel a shred of desire for it.

She had absolutely no intention of leaving with him, but right now, she still needed his help. She had to keep him placated.

Thinking fast, Seraphina turned to him with her red, teary eyes, feigning a tone of negotiation.

"Can we just wait a little longer? You know how badly I wanted to get into The Alabaster Atelier. Now that I've finally made it, let me stay just a little bit longer. Give me one more month, and I promise I'll leave with you!"

*One last month to completely destroy Clara... and then I'll dispose of him!*

The man frowned, clearly dissatisfied.

He was sick of her stalling.

Seraphina bit her lip, steeled her resolve, and stepped forward, wrapping her arms around his waist in a desperate attempt to appease him. She nestled her face affectionately against his chest.

It was nearly impossible for any man to resist her when she acted this sweet and fragile.

The man stiffened for a second before his hands moved to grip her slender waist, pulling her flush against him. He buried his face in the crook of her neck, inhaling her scent before letting out a defeated sigh. "Alright. I'll listen to you. One more month."

Resting against his chest, Seraphina suppressed her intense revulsion and hummed in agreement.

She promised herself: *The humiliation I suffered today... I will make Clara pay it back a thousand times over!*

...

Meanwhile.

Back at the venue.

On his way back, Julian had already reined in his temper. He knew exactly what he wanted—he wanted Clara back.

He wasn't an idiot. He knew getting a woman to return to his side required more than just sweet talk. He needed to show real action. Last time was a perfect example!

So, he had spent the walk rehearsing exactly how he would explain things to her and how he would make it up to her.
