Three years of loving him, three days to erase myself from his world novel Chapter 42

Clara offered a warm smile. Under the bright, luminous lighting, her radiant complexion and stunning features were impossible to ignore.

"I'm just browsing for now, thank you."

The associate couldn't help but steal a few extra glances at her striking beauty.

"Of course. Please let me know if you need anything."

Clara nodded and wandered deeper into the store.

Every gown was unique, leaving her slightly overwhelmed by the dazzling array of choices.

Suddenly, her gaze shifted.

It landed on the masterpiece displayed in the dead center of the boutique.

Her eyes lit up as she instinctively stopped in her tracks.

Before her was The Cerulean Siren Gown. The plunging V-neckline was framed by intricate lace and crushed diamonds, leading down to a cinched waist. The sweeping mermaid train was hand-embroidered with sapphires that caught the light, mimicking the breathtaking shimmer of rolling ocean waves.

No woman alive could resist a dress this magnificent.

Clara was instantly captivated, stepping closer to admire it.

It was absolutely flawless. Up close, the craftsmanship was even more astounding.

However, its price tag was just as staggering.

It ran in the millions of dollars.

It was exorbitantly expensive.

Clara let out a soft sigh. She lingered on it for another moment but decided against it.

After all, it was a gown she would likely only wear once.

She wasn't a billionaire with money to burn; dropping that kind of cash would seriously dent her nest egg.

She turned her attention to the other racks, pulling out a similar blue-and-white mermaid dress to examine.

Right at that moment, a mocking scoff echoed from behind her.

"Clara, aren't you twenty-five already? Do you honestly think you can pull off something so young and trendy?"

Seraphina.

Clara's expression instantly cooled. She frowned and turned around, her heart dropping a fraction when she saw Julian standing right beside her.

How sickeningly devoted he was to Seraphina.

The companionship Clara had begged for over the past three years was simply handed to this spoiled girl on a silver platter.

Julian was looking at her, too.

The shadows from the nearby display racks fell across his handsome face, making his expression unreadable.

But Clara knew exactly what he was thinking.
