Too Good for You The Ex-Wife You Lost novel Chapter 211

"How dare you!" Raphael barked, "Do you think you get to choose?"

Sarah looked aggrieved. "Liam is so stiff and boring. He's nothing compared to his younger brother, Hunter! They're both Haberkorns, so why can't I marry Hunter instead? I really don't like Liam!"

Tears welled up in her eyes. "Marriage lasts a lifetime. How can I spend it staring at a face I don't even like? Liam's face gives me no desire to marry him!"

"Sarah!" Simon scolded sharply. "I must have spoiled you excessively for you to become so bold and arrogant! How can you treat the family's affairs as a joke? Given the Quinn family's condition, you have no right to choose. It's either Liam or a 50-year-old widower. Choose wisely!"

Covering her face, Sarah cried aloud and rushed out furiously.

Unbeknownst to her, Liam stood silently in the shadows outside, wearing a grim expression as he listened to their entire conversation.

Meanwhile, Noelle worked on her laptop from the sofa in her hotel room. In the video Albert had sent, Lola was being tormented by Asher.

Asher would never forgive her. Lola was a stain on his reputation, one that would haunt him endlessly. The thought that she had plotted her approach from the very beginning made his stomach churn.

Lola was now under house arrest at the Miller residence, living like a servant as she atoned for her sins.

Asher wouldn't let her leave. He intended to torment her endlessly.

Noelle raised an eyebrow as she watched the videos. She had already done a background check on Asher. Though he appeared outwardly normal, he possessed a dangerously obsessive streak and would never forgive those who betrayed him.

With this, Lola was destined to spend the rest of her life in suffering.

Noelle felt no sympathy. This was exactly what Lola deserved.

"What are you watching?"

Hunter leaned down and pulled her into his arms. The faint, clean scent of him lingered from his shower. He pouted slightly. "Someone tried to take me from you today, and you didn't even help. You're so mean."

Noelle closed the laptop and looked at him with a smile. "You're a grown man, and she's just a young lady. What did you expect me to do? Do you really think she could force herself on you?"

Hunter's face darkened. He leaned down and bit her lip hard.

Noelle let out a muffled cry. Did this man have a death wish? That bite actually hurt!

"I'm yours, only yours," Hunter said, looking slightly displeased. "How could you let someone with bad intentions get that close to me? If anyone tries to make a move on me from now on, you have to chase them away."

He looked at her with pleading eyes. "You're my girlfriend. If you won't look after me, are you planning to look after other men instead?"

Mr. Haberkorn? That definitely wasn't Hunter.

"Ask him to wait for about ten minutes."

She wondered what Liam wanted. He couldn't possibly be here to persuade Hunter to return to the Haberkorn family like last time. If that were his goal, there was nothing she could do.

A little over ten minutes later, Noelle finished getting ready and headed downstairs. Sure enough, Liam was waiting in the hotel lobby.

When he saw her, he stood and greeted her with a warm smile. "Ms. Quinn."

Noelle regarded him warily and sat down. "Mr. Haberkorn, you came alone. What's this about?"

She hadn't bothered moving to a cafe or anywhere else. After all, there was nothing between her and Liam that needed to be kept from others.

Liam smiled and took out a carefully prepared gift box. "This is for you, Ms. Quinn."

Noelle raised a brow, wondering if she had misheard.

Was Liam really giving her a gift?
