Chapter 110
Iris’s POV
The crowd laughed mockingly.
Shane cupped his hands. “Focus, Iris!”
I swallowed the embarrassment burning in me, and stood up.
Drew went for a low punch this time. I dropped down, and blocked like Lucas had taught me. Yet, he still slipped past and hit my ribs.
“Careful now.” Lucas’s voice was emotionless, like he couldn’t care less if I won or lost.
My ribs throbbed.
“Yield now and save yourself the bruises,” Drew said.
I tightened my fists. “Not happening.”
He grinned wider. “Good. I was getting bored.”
He lunged. I ducked, barely dodging his punch. My knuckles grazed his arm, but he caught my wrist and twisted it. Sharp pain shot up my elbow. I jerked back before he could lock the hold.
“You call that a block?” he sneered. “Pathetic.’
I tried to punch him, but he sidestepped easily.
“You hit like a pup,” he said with a grin.
Behind him someone from the crowd muttered, “Why won’t she just give up already?”
Another voice followed. “She’s so weak.”
The word, ‘weak’, landed like a punch to my gut.
And suddenly, I wasn’t looking at Drew anymore.
I saw Zara’s sneer. Evie terrified and worried as she watched her mother being beaten. Tiffany laughing. Eric watching, looking amused, while Zara shoved me into the dirt as she called me weak.
Weak.
My chest burned. The field around me blurred for a moment. It wasn’t Drew standing there
anymore.
It was Zara.
I tightened my fists with a sneer on my face..

My chest tightened, then something inside me snapped.

I lunged before I could think. My fist slammed into Drew’s jaw. His head snapped back. The shock on his face was so satisfying.
A shocked murmur ran through the crowd.
He snorted and gave me a crooked smile. “Finally good one princess. Keep them coming.”
I didn’t wait. I threw a kick to his thigh, a move that Shane had drilled into me for weeks. He
stumbled backwards.
Lucas’s voice rang out. “Good. Keep going.”
I attacked, using every technique I could remember. I used Lucas’s quick jabs, Shane’s low sweeps. Each strike was fueled by anger. Drew blocked some, but not all.
He grunted as my elbow drove into his ribs. “Not bad,” he said through clenched teeth. But he didn’t sound as smug as before.
Adrenaline dulled the pain in my own body. I ducked under his swing and slammed his stomach with a punch.
The crowd’s cheers grew louder. I could hear Asher shouted, “That’s what I’m talking about!”
Drew’s smirk faded. He came at me harder.
I kept moving. Jab. Block. Kick. Dodge. My muscles ached from pain, but I didn’t care.
Then he changed strategy. He pretended he was hitting left, catching me off guard as his fist slammed into my right shoulder. Pain shot down my arm.
I staggered back.
He hit me with a sharp hook that grazed my head. My vision flashed white.
“Iris!” Jasmine’s voice was sharp with worry.
I shook my head to clear it, raised my hands to guard myself.
“Don’t you dare quit,” Shane yelled.
I straightened up, arranging my stance.
Drew’s eyes narrowed. “Still standing? Impressive.”
He charged at me. I ducked and landed an uppercut that snapped his head back.
Lucas’s voice called out sharply. “That’s it. Keep your guard up.”
I blocked another strike, turned, and slammed my knee into his gut. He grunted, stumbling a step.

For a heartbeat, I felt triumphant.
Then he roared and came at me with brutal speed
His fist slammed into my ribs hard. I gasped as the air rushed out of my lungs.
Before I could recover, his elbow smacked the side of my head. Stars flashed through my eyes.
I tried to raise my arms to protect myself, but I was too slow.
His fist slammed my head. The world tilted.
Voices blurred.
“Iris!” I could hear Jasmine’s scream through the ringing in my ears.
I tried to push myself up, but my arms shook and gave out.
Lucas’s voice was firm. “That’s enough. The match is over.”
Drew stepped back, breathing hard with sweat glistening on his neck. He gave a short nod.
“She’s tough,” he admitted, his earlier smirk was replaced by something that looked like
