Chapter 115
Iris’s POV
My heart pounded so loudly I was sure Rowan could hear it.
His eyes stayed on mine steady. The room felt smaller, as the air became tense.
“You still didn’t answer,” I whispered.
His lips twitched to an almost smile. “You’re stubborn.”
“And you’re avoiding the question.”
He took another slow step. “Maybe.”
I stepped back, but he followed me.
My back brushed against the wall, and I gulped. He planted a hand on the wall beside my shoulder, caging me in easily.
“Rowan…” My voice cracked.
His eyes darkened. “You drive me insane.”
Before I could react, his other hand came up and cupped my cheek. The feel of his palm against my skin sent a shiver down my spine.
“I” I started, but his thumb brushed the corner of my mouth and whatever word
had vanished.
Then his mouth was on mine.
It wasn’t gentle. It was hot and sudden, the kind of kiss that made my breath catch and my knees weak.
For a moment, I froze. Then something inside me gave way and I kissed him back, my fingers clutching the front of his shirt.
He groaned against my lips, deepening the kiss. His other arm wrapped around my waist, pulling me tight against his chest. The scent of pine and fresh rain filled my
senses.
His tongue brushed my bottom lip and I let out a small gasp. He took the chance, deepening the kiss until the world tilted. My heart raced as I moved up my hands to his shoulders, feeling his hard muscles.
Rowan broke the kiss to breathe. He pressed his forehead against mine. “You have no

idea what you do to me,” he murmured, his voice was rough.
I could barely think. “Rowan-
He kissed me again, slower but more passionate and intense. My head spun. Every cell in my body tingled.
Suddenly, the world blurred. Everything became faint and the feeling of his arms faded.
I blinked, and opened my eyes.
There was darkness. I was in my room alone
My heart was pounding as if I had run miles. My lips tingled.
It was a dream.
I pressed a hand to my mouth, stunned.
Rowan had come to my room. We had argued about the hoodie. When I had asked him ‘why?’, he spluttered, in outrage and left without giving me a real answer.
That was what had happened.
But my mind had run wild by adding the kiss and the passion to my dreams.
I covered my face with both hands and groaned. “Great, Iris. Just great.”
