I stood there naked, my heart pounding so hard I could feel it in my throat. I had no idea what to do next. Then I told myself the truth. My life could not get any worse than this. Whatever happened from here on, I would face it head on. I picked up the tray I had abandoned and walked out of the room.
The club was loud and packed, the music shaking through the floor. I kept my head down as I moved through the crowd, trying to hide my face from everyone. At the same time, I searched the room for Lola. Fortunately, she was busy with a different server, her back turned to me, one finger pointing angrily at something on the girl's tray.
I looked for Blaze and found him on the dance floor, his hands on the waist of another girl. That meant Cara was really waiting for me in the convenience, just like she had said. I slipped away carefully and made my way to the convenience. I knocked on one door after another, holding my breath each time. On the fourth door, it opened. Cara grabbed my arm, pulled me inside and locked the door behind us.
I pulled my hand from hers and studied her face. Her makeup had changed. She was now wearing the same makeup as me.
"You are a snake," I said, glaring at her. "I trusted you and you betrayed me."
"It was not my fault," Cara replied. "I had no choice. This is Sin Island. The Don has absolute power here. The richest men from all parts of the world come here to have their fun. Anyone who goes against the Don ends up badly."
"This Don you keep talking about," I asked. "Is he Emerson Gath?"

I hope Tasha is let off and helped by this detective and gets away from all this maybe a twist for this novel is she gets on the good side of things and gets away from that life completely even if she has to separate herself from Scarlett but it appears Tasha gets hurt by Scarlett’s and sparrow’s stupidity as she’s blamed for Scarlett’s decisions...
Her life is ruined and Scarlett’s been living a luxurious life through it all...
I officially hate everyone for hurting Tasha and allowing things to happen to her. This whole Sparrow and Scarlett situation is some BS....
It’s a bit stupid that as powerful and ruthless sparrow is he and Scarlett sure do a lousy job of protecting and having guard on Tasha. Like how did all of this happen to her if he was supposed to be protecting her based on the contract??...
