He nodded. "Yes. But you need to know, once I've gotten rid of Big Bryan, this whole marriage arrangement you and I have won't stand anymore. Once Big Bryan is dead, I'll annul the contract, that way, there'll be no ties between the both of us.

My eyes began to water. "Really? This is such good news!"
He blinked, taken aback. "You're that happy? You really hated this marriage arrangement?"
"No, I meant Big Bryan." The words rushed out of me. "I really used to feel very scared each time I thought about him. Knowing that you'll get rid of him in two weeks makes me really happy."
Inwardly, a weight I'd been carrying since last night began to lift. I didn't have to say anything to Sparrow. I didn't have to talk about the video. I just needed to wait. In two weeks, with Sparrow's resources, he would find Big Bryan himself and kill him.
And once Big Bryan was dead, I would be free. I would be able to tell Scarlett everything. Hopefully by then, Scarlett would be out of the hospital and feeling much better, and she wouldn't feel so heartbroken if she found out, because Big Bryan would already be dead.
Suddenly, I felt so much better. I looked up at him and smiled. "Thank you. Thank you so much."
He seemed genuinely surprised by my reaction. "To be honest, for a while there I was worried. Since you're so happy about this, I feel at ease. I'm not going to tell Scarlett that I've already had this conversation with you, just in case she wants to bring it up later."

I hope Tasha is let off and helped by this detective and gets away from all this maybe a twist for this novel is she gets on the good side of things and gets away from that life completely even if she has to separate herself from Scarlett but it appears Tasha gets hurt by Scarlett’s and sparrow’s stupidity as she’s blamed for Scarlett’s decisions...

I officially hate everyone for hurting Tasha and allowing things to happen to her. This whole Sparrow and Scarlett situation is some BS....
It’s a bit stupid that as powerful and ruthless sparrow is he and Scarlett sure do a lousy job of protecting and having guard on Tasha. Like how did all of this happen to her if he was supposed to be protecting her based on the contract??...
