TASHA
I woke to sunlight across the pillow. Then I stretched, one long, luxurious pull from my fingertips down to my toes, and something in my back popped with a satisfaction that almost made me laugh.
Until I picked up my phone.
There was a message from Daniel, sent at half past midnight, after I'd already gone under.
"Booked for today. Different identity. The Bellhaven, room 314."
I read it twice and the relief hit me so hard my eyes stung.
The entire morning belonged to Scarlett. So, I intended to sit with her, feed her, let her fuss over me, and then use the exact same fitness trainer excuse I'd used yesterday, walk out at a reasonable hour, and finally get that chip into Big Bryan's phone. Today. Determined did not begin to cover it. Today, I was going to do it if I had to crawl into his pocket myself.
I got up, made myself breakfast, and carried a plate out to Shaun, who took it with the expression of a man being handed a live bird.
"You didn't have to do this."
"You're guarding me all day. You might as well eat."
He ate it in about four minutes flat, which told me more about him than any conversation had.
Then I showered, and the cooking had already cost me time, because it was past nine by the time I stood in front of the wardrobe with a towel around me, deciding what to wear to the hospital and then later to the monster's den in the same day.
My phone rang.
The screen said *Monster*, and my heart launched itself into my throat. I'd saved him under that name and every single time it lit up, my stomach dropped like the floor had opened. I wanted it to be a text. I wanted it to be anything but his voice.
It rang again. I answered.
"Listen carefully." No greeting, no preamble. "You have a client booked for today and you're due at his room in one hour. Which means you're at my door in thirty minutes so you can be at his on time. Lateness means punishment, and I don't care how pretty you cry."
"In one hour?" My voice came out too high. "But I have plans this morning. I already arranged everything. It's supposed to be in the evening."

The readers' comments on the novel: Two Can Play (Celeste and Dominic)
Agent Frost better teach Tasha how to protect herself if anything gets out of hand or if she’s ever in danger or forced again...
I need some good news for Tasha. Special Agent hear her out and don’t let her get back into that life. Do I hear a romance or someone Tasha can truly count on besides Scarlett??...
I hope Tasha is let off and helped by this detective and gets away from all this maybe a twist for this novel is she gets on the good side of things and gets away from that life completely even if she has to separate herself from Scarlett but it appears Tasha gets hurt by Scarlett’s and sparrow’s stupidity as she’s blamed for Scarlett’s decisions...
Her life is ruined and Scarlett’s been living a luxurious life through it all...
I officially hate everyone for hurting Tasha and allowing things to happen to her. This whole Sparrow and Scarlett situation is some BS....
It’s a bit stupid that as powerful and ruthless sparrow is he and Scarlett sure do a lousy job of protecting and having guard on Tasha. Like how did all of this happen to her if he was supposed to be protecting her based on the contract??...
More Chapters Please...
I thought it said 10 chapters a day??? It’s been like 2-3 days and no update after chapter 574. The release time is so inconsistent, I have started to just loose interest....
Just find Tasha and get her some help. How did she have sparrow’s men watching her if she really cared so much. Scarlett’s character is so suspect…...
Storyline is interesting it’s just so much sexual content I have to skip through just find out the main context of the story....
