"Thank you, Daniel."
After that, the decision solidified in my chest like set concrete. Once the wedding was over, I was telling Sparrow everything. All of it. He was going to sit down and listen to me, whether he wanted to or not.
Meanwhile, Sparrow had moved us into a hotel.
A beautiful one, all glass and cream stone, minutes from the venue where the reception would be held. He'd chosen it, Scarlett explained, because he'd be buried in wedding logistics and wanted us close, easy to check on, easy to reach if we needed anything.
Scarlett, for her part, was delighted.
I just smiled and hung dresses in the wardrobe.
Three hours before the ceremony, Scarlett set up her arsenal on the vanity, every brush and palette she owned deployed in neat ranks, and turned the chair toward her.
"Sit. It's my turn."
Scarlett had wanted to hire professionals to take care of our faces and apply our makeup. But I'd refused. I was comfortable with her's and that was perfect enough for me.
So I sat, and she worked, chatting the entire time and I understood in no time why she'd started so early. She wanted photographs. She kept saying it, and when I asked why the sudden photography campaign, she got oddly fierce about it.
"Because I barely have any of us. A handful from your wedding day and that's it. Years of my life with you and one afternoon of photos. So today we're fixing that. We finish this makeup, we put on every outfit we bought, including those matching workout sets, don't make that face, and we take pictures until my phone storage surrenders."
When she finally spun the chair to face the mirror, I stared at myself and blinked.
"You're the most beautiful woman I've ever seen." She stood behind me with her hands on my shoulders, and there was no performance in it at all.
"Nothing compares to you, though."
"That's a lie!" She scoffed and flicked my ear.
"Is it? I'm sure that's exactly what you used to tell my mother when she was alive. Word for word."
Her expression went soft and she smiled. "There's one thing I'll never lie about, and that's your beauty. You really are beautiful, Tasha. I'm not lying about that."

The readers' comments on the novel: Two Can Play (Celeste and Dominic)
Agent Frost better teach Tasha how to protect herself if anything gets out of hand or if she’s ever in danger or forced again...
I need some good news for Tasha. Special Agent hear her out and don’t let her get back into that life. Do I hear a romance or someone Tasha can truly count on besides Scarlett??...
I hope Tasha is let off and helped by this detective and gets away from all this maybe a twist for this novel is she gets on the good side of things and gets away from that life completely even if she has to separate herself from Scarlett but it appears Tasha gets hurt by Scarlett’s and sparrow’s stupidity as she’s blamed for Scarlett’s decisions...
Her life is ruined and Scarlett’s been living a luxurious life through it all...
I officially hate everyone for hurting Tasha and allowing things to happen to her. This whole Sparrow and Scarlett situation is some BS....
It’s a bit stupid that as powerful and ruthless sparrow is he and Scarlett sure do a lousy job of protecting and having guard on Tasha. Like how did all of this happen to her if he was supposed to be protecting her based on the contract??...
More Chapters Please...
I thought it said 10 chapters a day??? It’s been like 2-3 days and no update after chapter 574. The release time is so inconsistent, I have started to just loose interest....
Just find Tasha and get her some help. How did she have sparrow’s men watching her if she really cared so much. Scarlett’s character is so suspect…...
Storyline is interesting it’s just so much sexual content I have to skip through just find out the main context of the story....
