Unloved Unwanted Unstoppable (Seraphina and Dominic) novel Chapter 109

Lauren looked up, her gaze immediately slamming into Seraphina.

She froze for a second before her face darkened furiously.

"Why are you still here? Are you purposely stalking me? You're already dealing with a scammer, just leave me alone."

She gripped her phone tightly, a surge of desperate anxiety churning in her chest.

She had come here to track someone down.

Specifically, the top-tier designer who had anonymously supplied her with blueprints for the past three years.

Ever since the anonymous sender stopped providing her with designs, she hadn't produced a single passable piece of work at the Lockwood Group.

She had been stripped of her Design Director title, lost her private office, and now, people didn't even bother talking to her during meetings.

With Dominic's attention entirely fixated on Cynthia, Lauren knew that if she didn't do something drastically fast, she would truly be left with nothing.

So, she had paid a fortune to hire an investigator to track the IP address of that anonymous email account.

She only received the intel today, and it pinged right to this run-down residential district.

She specifically picked this hour to sneak over, hoping to get lucky. Even if all she could do was beg the mysterious VIP designer in person to resume sending her work, it was far better than sitting around waiting to be fired.

But before she could even figure out which building they lived in, Seraphina was standing right there.

Such terrible luck.

Lauren cursed silently in her head.

Seraphina always tried to steal everything from her.

First, it was the affection of Mr. and Mrs. Lennox, then it was Dominic's attention. Was she seriously going to block Lauren's last lifeline now, too?

If Seraphina found out that an elite designer capable of producing those world-class sketches lived here, she would absolutely use her manipulative nature to suck up to them. If this designer took a liking to Seraphina, Lauren would really be left with absolutely nothing.

No way. Absolutely not.

Taking a deep breath, Lauren concealed her phone in her palm, shooting Seraphina a look of utter disgust.

Lauren was acting like a complete lunatic.

Shaking it off, she turned her attention back to the old lady on the bench, who was currently staring up at her.

Seraphina smiled gently, and the old lady smiled back.

They sat in comfortable silence until the wail of approaching police sirens echoed from the alley entrance.

Two officers approached and addressed Seraphina. "Are you the one who called it in? How is the woman doing?"

Seraphina quickly summarized the situation. "...She has no ID on her, no phone, and she isn't communicating clearly. It definitely seems like she wandered off."

One of the officers crouched down in front of the old lady and spoke clearly. "Ma'am, what is your name? Do you know where you live?"

The old lady glanced at him, then turned her head to look at Seraphina, completely ignoring the officer's questions.

He tried asking a few more times, but the only response the old lady gave from start to finish was pointing at Seraphina and stating firmly, "She is my family."
