Unloved Unwanted Unstoppable (Seraphina and Dominic) novel Chapter 111

His subordinates received their orders and immediately rushed out to get to work.

Gideon Cole frowned, his expression growing darker.

It had been a full day and night.

There was still no news of his grandmother, who suffered from Alzheimer's.

This was incredibly dangerous.

Beatrice's condition had been fluctuating recently.

Usually, there were professionals at home to care for her, keeping a twenty-four-hour watch.

But yesterday evening, while the caregiver had turned her back to pour a glass of water, the old lady had slipped out the back door. By the time they realized it, she was already gone.

She didn't have a phone, a tracker, or even a heavy coat on her.

Gideon had dispatched all his men and pulled every security camera along the streets, practically turning half of Northport upside down, but the old lady seemed to have vanished into thin air.

He closed his eyes.

Just then, his phone buzzed. Gideon checked the screen to see a message from one of his men, attaching a photo and a single address.

The subordinate's call immediately followed, reporting that they had a lead on Beatrice—she was last seen at 1 Riverside Drive.

Gideon's eyes lit up as he grabbed his coat from the sofa and strode out, his men rushing to keep up.

The black sedan sped out of the estate gates into the night.

Gideon sat in the backseat, clutching a photo of his grandmother.

The car raced through the city, finally slowing down in front of the rundown residential complex at 1 Riverside Drive.

He pushed the door open and stepped out. Glancing up at the aging apartment building, he strode into the entrance.

Seraphina Sinclair was jolted awake by the faint rustling coming from the kitchen.

Seraphina stepped forward and gently held her arm. "Why are you up so early?"

The old lady waved her hand, signaling her not to worry. "Thank you for taking me in last night, sweetheart."

Looking into those finally lucid eyes, Seraphina understood. The old lady had regained her senses.

"Do you... remember what happened last night?"

Beatrice nodded, then shook her head. "Pieces of it. I remember getting lost, not being able to find my way, and feeling so scared. I remember someone pushing me, and then you came and helped me up."

She paused. "Then you brought me back here and made me some spaghetti. I really enjoyed that meal. But... what is your name? I might have asked last night, but I can't remember."

Seraphina smiled softly. "Just call me Seraphina."

"Seraphina..." The old lady tested the name on her tongue and nodded. "A beautiful name."

Seraphina guided her back to the living room to sit down, pouring her a glass of warm water. "Since you're clear-headed now, do you remember your family's information? Their names? Phone numbers? Where you live?"
