Unloved Unwanted Unstoppable (Seraphina and Dominic) novel Chapter 112

The old lady took a sip of the water, set the glass down, and thought deeply for a moment.

"My son... his name is Gerald Cole. He lives in Laurel Heights. But I can't remember his phone number."

Seraphina paused. Gerald Cole.

She hadn't heard that name before.

But she definitely knew Laurel Heights.

Chelsea Sterling lived there, and the house Dominic Lockwood had bought for Cynthia Ross was in that neighborhood, too.

But Laurel Heights was a massive luxury community. Without a specific house number, finding someone would be like looking for a needle in a haystack.

"Do you remember anything else? Like what your son does for a living? Or who else is in your family?"

Beatrice thought about it again, then shook her head. "I can't recall."

She frowned, looking visibly frustrated. "My mind is clear sometimes and muddy at others. When I woke up this morning, a lot of things suddenly came back to me, but things like phone numbers... they just slip away."

Seraphina pondered this. At least she knew the old lady's family was in Laurel Heights. That made things a bit easier.

She could take her there, and perhaps they would run into someone she recognized.

Resolving to do just that, Seraphina stood up. "I'll take you to Laurel Heights."

She grabbed her jacket and slipped it on. "Give me a second to change, and we'll head out."

Beatrice sat on the sofa, offering her a warm smile.

Just as Seraphina zipped up her jacket, her phone rang.

She glanced at the screen. It was an unknown number, but the area code matched the police officer from last night.

She answered, and a male voice came through. "Ms. Sinclair, hello. We've managed to contact the elderly woman's family. They confirmed her identity and are heading your way right now. Please wait there for them."

Seraphina looked down at Beatrice, who was still sitting patiently on the couch, and a massive weight finally lifted off her chest.

The man leading them was tall, dressed in a dark gray overcoat. His sharp features were etched with a cold intensity, radiating the oppressive aura of a powerful man accustomed to giving orders.

Gideon Cole.

Seraphina froze on the spot.

She blinked, ensuring her eyes weren't playing tricks on her.

The man standing in front of her was the boss of The Cole Group—her boss.

Gideon's gaze swept over her face, and he visibly paused for a split second when he recognized her.

But he didn't say anything, his eyes drifting past her to the old woman in the living room.

"Grandma," he called out, his voice noticeably softer than usual.

Beatrice looked up, frowning at the crowd gathered at the door. "Why did you bring so many people? You're scaring the poor girl."
