Unloved Unwanted Unstoppable (Seraphina and Dominic) novel Chapter 127

The luxury sedan pulled to a smooth stop right beside Seraphina.

The passenger door swung open. A driver stepped out, quickly deploying a massive black umbrella over Seraphina's head, instantly shielding her from the torrential downpour.

"Ms. Sinclair, my boss invites you inside. He'll give you a ride home." The driver stepped aside, offering a polite, deferential gesture.

Seraphina blinked in surprise, instinctively peering into the darkened back seat.

The window lowered halfway, revealing a sharp, striking profile.

Through the heavy rain, the features were slightly obscured, but she instantly recognized the man's commanding silhouette.

Gideon Cole.

She barely hesitated. Shivering and miserable, she gathered her soaked clothes and slid into the plush leather interior without a second thought.

The heavy door thumped shut, immediately silencing the chaotic roar of the storm outside.

Dominic stood paralyzed on the pavement, watching as the woman was effortlessly whisked away beneath a stranger's umbrella.

He wanted to step closer to see who was inside, but the rain was blinding and the tinted windows were rolling up fast. He couldn't see a damn thing.

But the sheer aura of that vehicle screamed unimaginable wealth and power.

He knew exactly what class of car that was.

It was levels more expensive than the one he was currently driving.

His brow furrowed deeply, his fingers curling into tight fists by his sides.

It wasn't Julian Shaw. He had seen Julian's car yesterday, and this wasn't it.

This vehicle was in a completely different stratosphere.

Since when did she have someone like this orbiting her?

Before he could analyze it further, the black sedan accelerated, smoothly pulling away from the curb.

The massive tires hit a deep puddle perfectly, sending a massive wave of muddy water directly over Dominic. A dark, ugly stain instantly spread across his tailored suit.

Dominic's face twisted into an expression of pure, unadulterated murder.

Madeline burst out of the SUV under an umbrella. Seeing her brother drenched in street runoff and the luxury car speeding away, she stomped her foot in fury.

Meanwhile, in the luxury sedan, Seraphina practically pressed herself against the door.

She hadn't had a choice earlier—she was freezing and drenched, and the immediate instinct to find shelter had overridden everything else.

But now, sitting shoulder-to-shoulder with Gideon Cole, she could feel the sheer, intimidating weight of his presence.

Worse, her dripping clothes were already ruining the immaculate, pristine leather of his back seat.

She tried to make herself as small as possible.

But the chill had already settled deep in her bones. The moment she shifted, she couldn't suppress a harsh sneeze.

She turned her head, instinctively covering her mouth with the back of her hand, her shoulders hunching in embarrassment.

A fresh pack of tissues appeared in her peripheral vision.

She paused, turning her head. Gideon was looking at her, casually holding out an unopened pack of tissues, his long, elegant fingers resting lightly on the plastic.

"Thank you." She took it, pulling out a tissue to dab the freezing rain off her face and the ends of her hair.
