Unloved Unwanted Unstoppable (Seraphina and Dominic) novel Chapter 170

As Dominic's closest friend, Tristan had no idea if Dominic was involved in this scheme, but he absolutely could not risk letting Dominic know that he and his sister had intervened.

The door clicked shut, plunging the small lounge into complete silence.

Zachary's eyelids fluttered.

He slowly opened his eyes. The moment he recognized the face above him, he desperately grabbed Seraphina's hand.

"Seraphina..."

"Seraphina, I saw her again."

"It's been ten years. Why is she back? What does she want from me?"

Seraphina's heart broke. She squeezed his hand tightly. "It's over, Zach. You're safe now."

Zachary squeezed his eyes shut and took a massive, shuddering breath, looking like a man clawing his way out of hell.

When he opened them again, the terrified glaze was gone, replaced by a fierce, gritting resilience.

"You're right. It's over. I refuse to let these people hold me hostage for the rest of my life. Clara and Arthur are waiting for me, and you've fought so hard for me. I am not going to break."

He braced himself against the couch and sat up, but his face fell the second he looked down at his ruined, wrinkled shirt.

"The contract... Seraphina, what time is it? Did I miss the signing with Cole's—"

"You didn't miss anything," Seraphina said with absolute certainty. "We still have plenty of time."

She picked up the garment bag and unzipped the custom suit.

Under the dim lights, the luxurious fabric gave off a subtle sheen, every single stitch radiating impeccable craftsmanship.

Zachary stared at it in awe. "What is this?"

"I had it made for you."

Seraphina handed it to him. "Go get changed. We're going to march in there, sign that contract, and absolutely blind them with your success."

Zachary sniffled, pushing himself to his feet. "Alright. I'll get dressed."

He took the suit and headed toward the attached restroom. His steps were still a little shaky, but his back was ramrod straight.

Watching him walk away,

Seraphina's expression shifted, turning dangerously cold.

Earlier, she had been too frantic to think about the logistics.

But now that the adrenaline had cleared, the cold reality set in—this was a highly coordinated assassination of his character.

Seraphina dropped into the main terminal, pulled up the day's security feeds, and filtered the timelines and zones to trace Zachary's path.

A line of text flashed across the screen: "Footage for this timeframe has been deleted."

She clicked the next file.

Deleted as well.

The next one—same thing.

A perfect row of red deletion warnings cascaded down the monitor.

She let out a dark scoff, her fingers flying across the keyboard.

Back in college, she had minored in digital forensics and data recovery. Restoring wiped surveillance tapes was absolute child's play for her.

Within seconds, the corrupted thumbnails flickered back to life, one by one, as the deleted files successfully recovered.

She plugged her phone into the main port, simultaneously restoring and downloading the footage.

The clips populated rapidly, the download progress bar steadily inching forward.

Just as it was about to hit one hundred percent, heavy footsteps echoed from the hallway outside...
