Zach smiled, looking both shy and reserved.

Seraphina stood beside him, unable to stop her lips from curving up.

Once the applause died down, she turned to thank Gideon.

"Thank you, Gideon."

Gideon cast a mild glance at Zach, his tone calm.

"Zach's technical expertise is solid. He earned this partnership."

In the audience, Cynthia's fingers dug painfully into her palms.

Dominic's face was equally dark.

The host guided the guests to the banquet hall for dinner.

Seraphina and Zach were seated at the main table, with Seraphina placed right next to Gideon.

Gideon glanced at Zach, then tilted his head and spoke to Seraphina.

"The tailoring on that suit is excellent. The person who made it is clearly very skilled."

Seraphina paused, remembering how she had brought the suit to Laurel Heights a few days ago and mentioned needing to alter it.

She looked up at him, seizing the opportunity.

"If you like it, I can make one for you sometime."

She fully expected him to politely decline. Given his status, any bespoke suit in the world was at his fingertips.

Instead, a faint smile graced Gideon's lips. "I'd like that."

Seraphina was caught off guard, surprised he didn't show the slightest disdain.

But it was fine. Gideon had done Zach a massive favor; gifting him a suit was the least she could do.

The banquet was just about to start when Nadia Griffin suddenly stumbled into the room.

Her hair was a tangled mess, and she began wailing in front of everyone.

"I demand an explanation! I was treated inhumanely here, and no one is doing anything about it!"

People in the crowd quickly recognized her as the disheveled woman thrashing around in the video earlier.

Having a video like that broadcasted publicly was undeniably humiliating.

Someone also pointed out that she was Mrs. Carter.

Gideon's face was completely impassive. He turned his head and gave a brief order to a subordinate standing behind him.

The subordinate quickly brought out a check and handed it to Nadia.

Nadia's eyes lit up, and she eagerly snatched it. She thought to herself that since Cole's was being so accommodating, she could easily squeeze more out of them.

So, she spoke up again.

"And my emotional distress, plus my lost wages. Those need to be included as well."

Gideon let out a dark scoff.

"Give it to her."

The subordinate swiftly adjusted the amount and handed Nadia a new check.

Clutching the check, Nadia felt a sudden wave of panic. Gideon's gaze was far too predatory, and she didn't dare push her luck any further.

She held the check tight and turned around, suddenly spotting Zach standing nearby.

Her eyes narrowed, and she marched straight toward him.

"Zach, I never expected we'd see each other again. I definitely didn't think you'd still be standing."
