Unloved Unwanted Unstoppable (Seraphina and Dominic) novel Chapter 215

The moment Yvette saw Tristan enter, her eyes lit up.

She rushed over. "Tristan, what brings you here?"

Tristan paused, giving her a brief, unreadable glance. "Just checking in."

He looked past Yvette and locked eyes with Cynthia on the bed.

Cynthia, leaning against the pillows, instinctively shrank back at his gaze.

"Mr. Spencer."

Tristan pressed his lips together, ignoring her greeting, and looked at Dominic.

"I just spoke with Gideon," Tristan said, his voice heavy. "Regarding the incident at the vivarium, Gideon is convinced Harvey was just the muscle. Someone else gave the order."

Dominic's expression shifted. "Did he find out who?"

"Not yet." Tristan paused, letting his gaze slide deliberately toward Cynthia. "But he said he is tracking it down. He is not letting this go."

His eyes grew darker. "And neither am I. I want to see exactly who had the nerve to attack my guest at my birthday party. When I find them, I guarantee they will regret it."

Cynthia's fingers curled into tight fists, her face draining of color.

Having made his point, Tristan shot one last fleeting look at Cynthia.

He turned back to Dominic. "Seraphina is badly injured."

With that, he turned on his heel and strode out.

Yvette chased after him. "Wait, Tristan..."

He didn't even look back as he disappeared through the door.

The hospital room fell into a heavy silence.

Yvette stomped her foot in frustration, biting her lip, before turning back to see Dominic staring at the doorway with a deeply pensive look on his face.

Cynthia lowered her eyes. Her fingertips dug into her palms, then slowly released.

"Dominic. Is everything okay?" she asked, keeping her voice soft and vulnerable.

He snapped out of his thoughts and glanced at her. "I'm fine. I'm going to grab you some food."

She took a slow breath. "It's fine. I don't need your help."

Dominic's jaw twitched. He gave her a long, unreadable look, then turned and walked out.

The door clicked shut.

Seraphina exhaled sharply, squeezed her eyes shut, and forced herself to rest.

Over the next few days, her hospital room remained mercifully quiet.

Gideon visited every other day.

One afternoon, he brought Phoebe with him.

The little girl ran straight to Seraphina's bed, sweetly calling out her name, before emptying a backpack full of premium snacks onto her nightstand.

Gideon stood back, watching the chaos with quiet amusement. Whenever Phoebe shoved a piece of candy into his hand, he simply unwrapped it and handed it to Seraphina.

Nurses passing by peeked through the window, whispering excitedly. "He is so gorgeous, and the kid is adorable."

"I heard it's an uncle and his niece. Is that patient going to be her new aunt? She's stunning. They look like a perfect family."
