Unloved Unwanted Unstoppable (Seraphina and Dominic) novel Chapter 214

Assuming it was the caregiver, Seraphina composed herself and called out for them to enter.

The door pushed open, and Harvey stood awkwardly in the frame.

Beside him stood a bodyguard, holding up a phone and actively recording him.

The moment Seraphina saw him, her expression turned icy.

Harvey looked furious, his lips pressed into a hard, thin line.

He was clutching a fruit basket and a box of expensive supplements, looking entirely like a hostage forced into compliance.

"Seraphina," he muttered, before grinding out the next three words through clenched teeth. "I am sorry."

Seraphina leaned back against her pillows, watching him coldly.

Harvey clenched his jaw. "I ordered the door locked. But I swear, I didn't know you were in there. Whatever, it's all my fault. Blame me if you want."

Having delivered his speech, he set his jaw, looking like a man marching to the guillotine.

Seraphina let out a cold scoff.

The door had locked the second she walked into the enclosure. She didn't buy for a second that he didn't know.

He was undeniably involved.

But she knew Harvey wasn't the mastermind. He was taking the fall for someone else, and there was only one person he would willingly sacrifice himself for.

She tightened her grip on the bedsheets.

Harvey shifted restlessly. "Well? Say something."

His tone was impatient. The man recording him immediately cleared his throat in warning. Catching the hint out of the corner of his eye, Harvey forced his voice back into a neutral register.

"What do you want me to do to make this right? Name it."

Seraphina looked from him to the recording phone. She knew Gideon was the only one who could have pressured Harvey into doing this.

His tone held a trace of genuine awe. "I was going to step in and handle it myself, but Gideon beat me to it. He didn't show a shred of favoritism just because Harvey is his cousin. I respect his style."

Seraphina's eyes widened slightly. It was true. Gideon had never treated her poorly just because Dominic was technically his nephew by marriage.

She respected his style too.

Tristan stayed and chatted for a while until the caregiver arrived, then bid her goodbye.

He stepped out of Seraphina's room and walked directly into the adjacent suite.

In the next room, Cynthia was resting in a hospital bed.

Dominic was hovering attentively by her side.

Yvette was right there too, passing her tea and eagerly calling her by her first name.

That was the scene Tristan walked into.
