Unloved Unwanted Unstoppable (Seraphina and Dominic) novel Chapter 247

Seraphina straightened her spine and sent yet another document to Dominic's phone.

She looked at him, her expression completely indifferent. "I did try my best to manage this marriage. But it's failed, and I accept that."

"As for your claim that I willingly walked into this from the very beginning, you are dead wrong. From the very start, it was a trap set by your mother."

Dominic's pupils shrank violently. "That's impossible!"

Everyone knew his mother despised Seraphina. Over the years, he had seen exactly how much his mother loathed her.

Seraphina sneered. "Facts speak louder than words. Take your time and read it yourself."

With that, she walked right past him.

"My demands haven't changed. We split the assets in half: five hundred billion dollars. Let me know when you finally wrap your head around it, Mr. Lockwood. If you can't figure it out, that's fine too—we'll just see each other in court."

Dominic stood rooted to the spot, glaring fiercely as she walked away.

After a long moment, he took a deep breath, got back into his car, and opened the new document on his phone.

The file slowly loaded.

And as it did, his eyes grew wider and wider.

These documents practically laid out the exact sequence of events from start to finish.

All those years ago, his mother had actually bribed Seraphina's classmate, Stella Turner, to drug her.

Even more horrifying, Cynthia had known about it the entire time.

But why? When Cynthia caught them in bed, she looked so heartbroken, yet behind the scenes, she had helped orchestrate throwing Seraphina into his bed...

Dominic stared at every single word on the screen, his fingers tightening their grip on the phone.

He felt as if his entire world was crumbling around him.

It took a long time before he finally regained a fraction of his composure. He handed the documents to his men, ordering them to verify their authenticity.

He also ordered them to find out exactly why his mother had schemed to force Seraphina into his bed.

Pausing for a second, he added, "And look into exactly why Cynthia left the country back then."

He had originally thought Cynthia went abroad because seeing him with Seraphina had devastated her. But looking at the evidence, she had actively facilitated them sleeping together from the very beginning.

Why on earth would she do that...

For the past few days, Dominic had locked himself inside his study.

He refused to see anyone.

He dumped all corporate matters onto his vice president and ignored all incoming calls.

Even when Cynthia called, he let it ring out.

His mind was a chaotic mess, and he instinctively wanted to avoid speaking to anyone.

Cynthia tried calling a few more times, but no one answered.

Gripping her phone and listening to the busy dial tone, her brows knitted tighter and tighter.

Ever since that night at The Fernwood Estate, she hadn't seen Dominic in almost a month.

She wasn't entirely panicked yet. She was confident that since they had crossed the physical line, there was no way Dominic would abandon her.

She had also heard that Dominic was buried in scandals and that his mother had been arrested, so she assumed he was simply busy and decided not to bother him.

But today, she heard that Dominic had already settled his mother's affairs days ago. Yet he still hadn't come to see her. A sudden wave of intense anxiety washed over her, prompting her to finally initiate the call.
