Seraphina couldn't suppress a bitter scoff.
As long as it was someone he cared about, even with the evidence right in front of his face, he would find a way to make excuses for them.
Whatever. She didn't want to pursue Cynthia's plagiarism right now, anyway. She hadn't finished organizing all the evidence for that particular crime yet.
But rest assured, she would settle that score eventually.
She looked at Dominic, letting out a cold hum. "Dominic, you are an ungrateful bastard."
"I've been married to you for six years. I managed your entire household, raised our child single-handedly, took care of your elders, and pulled your grandmother and mother back from the brink of death multiple times. Yet you have never thanked me, not even once."
"While you were out building your empire, I quietly supported you from the shadows because I understood your ambitions."
"When your company faced a crisis, I solved it. When your projects hit a bottleneck, I broke through them."
"And how did you repay me?"
She stared at him, her eyes filled with nothing but disappointment and freezing apathy.
"Emotional abuse, infidelity, and constant belittlement. You used the money I helped you earn to provide for another woman. You let your child call another woman 'Mom'. You expected me to step aside and make room for the two of you, and you even used my family to threaten me."
"After everything you've done, do you even deserve to be called a man?"
Dominic was stunned. He stood opposite her for a long time, as if it took a while for her words to process, before he finally spoke in a suppressed voice.
"Seraphina, there's no need to speak so harshly."
Seraphina let out a cold laugh.
"What's the matter? The evidence is staring you right in the face, and I'm still not allowed to talk about it?"
Dominic's lips moved, but for once, no sound came out.
He fell silent for a long time, as if struggling to digest everything she had just dumped on him. Finally, he looked up, trying his best to keep his tone even.
"You could have told me all this earlier. Since you never said anything, I had no idea."
Seraphina scoffed.
In his eyes, her sacrifices were worthless. To him, everything she had done was simply what she was supposed to do.
She used to think he just didn't understand.
But the truth was, whether he understood or not didn't matter. He would always view her as cheap.
He even viewed her as desperate.
And now, expressing her grievances was just her being hysterical.
Seraphina took a deep breath and sneered.
She admitted that for the past six years, she had genuinely tried to make this marriage work.
After all, they shared a daughter. She had hoped that even if Dominic didn't love her and their home was riddled with cracks, she could at least provide her daughter with a complete family.
Unfortunately, she eventually realized that her daughter was exactly like Dominic—they both took her love and sacrifices for granted, only to trample all over them.
So, to hell with family and love. She didn't want any of it anymore. She was just going to take back the financial assets she rightfully deserved.
