"Seraphina!"
Dominic's chest heaved. "Watch your mouth!"
"I'm absolutely done playing nice."
Seraphina sneered. "You showed up here to beg for a kidnapper, and you expect me to apologize to the woman who framed me. What gives you the right to demand anything from me, Dominic?"
Dominic's gaze grew dangerously cold.
"You've become incredibly toxic. Do you honestly think whatever evidence you scraped together is going to save you? Forget the settlement. You're not getting another dime out of me. You don't deserve it."
"You hurt Cynthia, and I am going to make sure you rot behind bars!"
A cold smile played on her lips. "Then we have nothing left to discuss. See you in court."
She slammed the door shut in his face.
As the lock clicked, she heard his muffled scoff from the hallway before his heavy footsteps faded away.
Seraphina took a deep breath, trying to ease the suffocating pressure in her chest.
...
For the next few days, her life remained relatively peaceful.
But she knew Dominic's temperament; there was no way he was going to let this go.
He might not target her directly, but he had plenty of resources to destroy the people she loved.
Sure enough, a week later, the bad news started rolling in.
First, it was Zachary. A long-term manufacturing partner abruptly released a public statement claiming his microchip tech was dangerously defective.
The press release was brutally worded and backed by a pile of fabricated test diagnostics that looked terrifyingly legitimate.
Then, Clara's family restaurant was hit. A customer violently threw up after eating a meal and an ambulance had to be called.
The man's family staged a riot outside the doors, sobbing loudly and demanding a massive payout.
Photos went viral online under a scandalous headline: *Popular Local Restaurant Causes Mass Food Poisoning; Owner Refuses to Apologize*.
More importantly, his factory had already inked a long-term partnership with The Cole Group's tech subsidiary.
Cole's published a completely transparent project audit, clearing Zachary's tech and validating his exceptional manufacturing standards.
Dominic thought a single press release could crush Zachary?
Those so-called "test diagnostics" failed to meet basic industry metrics. Anyone with half a brain could see they were utterly fabricated.
Unsurprisingly, within two days, the rumors completely collapsed, even without Zachary having to make a public statement.
The manufacturer who tried to defame him became the laughingstock of the tech world.
But Seraphina had no intention of letting them off the hook.
She picked up her phone and dialed Mr. Zimmerman.
"Mr. Zimmerman. That manufacturer who tried to slander my brother's tech? I want to sue them."
"Understood, Ms. Sinclair," he replied. "I'll draft the paperwork immediately."
