Unloved Unwanted Unstoppable (Seraphina and Dominic) novel Chapter 263

The entertainment segment began shortly after.

The host took the stage. "Ladies and gentlemen, we've now reached the entertainment portion of the evening. We welcome any of our guests to showcase their talents."

Murmurs buzzed through the crowd.

Right on cue, Cynthia stood up.

She walked onto the stage with a graceful smile, offering a polite bow to the audience. "I'll make a modest attempt. I'd like to perform a piece on the violin."

A staff member handed her an instrument.

Cynthia accepted it, resting it against her shoulder as the melody slowly filled the room.

The rhythm was brisk, the techniques complex. It was a highly recognizable piece in the classical repertoire.

Her fingering was relatively fluid, and overall, her performance was solid and strictly by the book.

As the final note faded, applause erupted from the audience.

"Ms. Ross is truly multitalented."

"Mr. Lockwood has a great eye. The woman he chose is definitely exceptional."

"With that skill level, she wouldn't look out of place in a professional orchestra."

Praises echoed throughout the hall. Someone even led a second round of applause, making it noticeably more enthusiastic than before.

Standing on stage, Cynthia wore a perfectly poised smile and glanced toward Dominic.

He gave her an approving nod, a hint of satisfaction gleaming in his eyes.

Chelsea rolled her eyes from the floor. "What on earth was she playing? Her notes were drifting all over the place and they're praising her like that? Did money stuff their ears?"

Seraphina merely smiled.

As Cynthia stepped off the stage, the host was about to invite the next performer, but she walked right up to him and whispered something in his ear.

The host nodded and raised his microphone again. "Ms. Ross just mentioned that we have a hidden master among us tonight, and she would love to invite her up to perform for us. This person is..."

"Ms. Seraphina Sinclair. Would Ms. Sinclair do us the honor?"

The spotlight instantly swung over.

Seraphina's eyelashes fluttered slightly as she looked up.

Cynthia had already returned to her seat and was staring straight at her.

The moment the first note rang out, the entire hall fell dead silent.

The sound was crisp and expansive, each note carrying a soul-stirring power, as if painting a majestic landscape of mountains and rivers right before the listeners' eyes.

It was an incredibly demanding piece that very few dared to attempt. While the fingerwork wasn't overly complex, capturing its magnificent scale required an artistry most could never achieve.

Seraphina kept her eyes closed, her breath control steady and relentless.

When the final note dropped, its resonance lingered in the grand hall for several seconds before slowly dissolving into the air.

A prolonged, stunned silence descended upon the crowd. Everyone was too breathless to speak.

A second later, the guests rose to their feet as one.

A thunderous roar of applause tore through the room.

Ethan's voice rang out above the noise. "Absolutely extraordinary! Flute playing of that caliber is incredibly rare..."

Those words carried massive weight.

The entire music industry knew that Ethan Harrington almost never praised anyone in public.

Seraphina offered him a gracious, dignified nod.
