Gideon offered a rare word of comfort. "The authorities have already launched a deep investigation into Charles. The chain of evidence is solidifying. He won't last long."

Seraphina nodded. Seeing it was getting late, she stood up and gathered the documents. "I'll head out then. I won't hold you up from your work any longer."

Gideon glanced at the clock on the wall, his tone perfectly casual. "It's about time for dinner. Let's eat together."

Seraphina hesitated for a second.

Gideon had already stood up, his expression completely neutral. "A new restaurant just opened downstairs. I hear their soup is excellent."

Seraphina offered a small smile. "Alright, let's go."

The two walked out of the office together.

Inside the restaurant, the fragrant steam of tea filled the air.

Gideon picked up a piece of sautéed asparagus with serving chopsticks and placed it on the plate in front of Seraphina.

"Try this. They cooked it perfectly."

She nodded. "It really is good."

Gideon proceeded to serve her a bowl of soup.

"Drink it slowly. It's hot."

Seraphina took the bowl, blew softly on the surface, and took a sip.

As she drank, she couldn't help but glance up at Gideon.

"Mr. Cole, you should eat too. Don't just focus on me."

Gideon didn't say much. He simply picked up a piece of fish and ate it slowly.

He ate with graceful composure. In this moment, the usual unapproachable, icy aura he carried seemed to dissipate entirely.

Watching him like this, Seraphina felt an unexpected sense of comfort.

Right then, two people walked through the restaurant's entrance.
