But Seraphina had no intention of letting it go.
In truth, she was doing this on purpose.
She didn't want Cynthia coming along.
She knew the woman harbored malicious intentions; tagging along was just an excuse to cause trouble.
But she couldn't stop Dominic from bringing her.
So she had to create a distraction.
Watching her fight so fiercely, and facing the immovable Tristan, Dominic finally sighed.
"Enough."
His voice dropped into a low command.
Cynthia looked up at him, her eyes red-rimmed.
"Dominic..."
He frowned at her pitiable expression.
"I'll check the phone."
Cynthia froze.
She stared at him in disbelief. "You don't trust me either?"
His gaze shifted to Seraphina.
"She's out of her mind right now," he said. "She won't stop until she's satisfied there's nothing on it."
"Let me look. Once I do, she'll back off."
Cynthia bit her lower lip, her chest heaving as she let out a cold laugh.
"So every time she throws a tantrum, you'll violate my privacy? What if she demands something else next time?"
Dominic frowned.
Seraphina scoffed dismissively.
"Save the dramatic victim act. If this didn't involve my daughter, I wouldn't touch your phone if you paid me."
"But since you had the nerve to show up here as a prime suspect, I am going to look at it!"
