Unloved Unwanted Unstoppable (Seraphina and Dominic) novel Chapter 373

He remained silent for a few seconds before his tone softened. "Alright, that was my oversight. I'll ask you before I buy anything next time. Whatever you want, I'll make it up to you."

"Okay!"

Lily's eyes crinkled, her tone bright and cheerful.

For a moment, the atmosphere in the hospital room was surprisingly peaceful—no hostility, no cold sarcasm.

Seraphina never looked up. Just then, a nurse pushed the door open, carrying a tray of food. "Lily, time for lunch."

On the plate were sautéed broccoli, diced carrots, a small portion of steamed fish, and half a bowl of brown rice.

It was an assortment of food Lily would have never touched before.

Dominic instinctively spoke up, "She doesn't like broccoli—"

Before he could finish, Lily sat up straight, picked up her spoon, scooped up some broccoli, and popped it into her mouth. She chewed twice and swallowed.

Then she picked up a piece of carrot and munched on it with a satisfying crunch.

The rest of Dominic's words caught in his throat. He stared in shock as his daughter systematically demolished every single one of her former "minefield" foods, even polishing off most of the brown rice.

It was as if someone had hit the pause button on him.

The old Lily was an incredibly picky eater. She refused to eat this, wouldn't touch that, and could make a nanny break a sweat over a single meal.

Even when Seraphina tried making a variety of creative dishes, the girl rarely deigned to take more than a few bites.

But now, she sat quietly on the bed, feeding herself without throwing a tantrum or being fussy.

"Lily..."

Dominic's Adam's apple bobbed. "Didn't you hate eating this stuff before?"

Lily swallowed her mouthful of rice, looked up, and said casually, "Mommy said I need to eat well to grow tall and stay healthy. I used to be too picky, but now I'm going to change."
