Unloved Unwanted Unstoppable (Seraphina and Dominic) novel Chapter 407

He had thought Gideon just disliked Cynthia and was targeting her on purpose.

He assumed it was just a subtle warning to stop focusing all his energy on one woman.

He had never considered the alternative.

"I..." Dominic's throat went dry. "I thought you just didn't like Cynthia."

Gideon let out a cold laugh.

Dominic clenched his fists and took a deep breath. "I made a mistake. I never should have given up on her."

There was zero warmth in Gideon's eyes.

"Whether you give up or not is none of my business."

Dominic's expression darkened.

"I know you're pursuing her."

Gideon didn't deny it; he merely raised an eyebrow.

Dominic lowered his voice. "But she's still Lily's mother."

He sounded a bit more confident after saying that.

He and Seraphina had a child together.

That was a fact no one could erase.

Gideon looked at him like he was staring at a complete idiot who hadn't grasped the situation.

"So?"

Dominic choked on that single word.

He didn't even know what was supposed to come after that 'so.'

Make her come back to him?

What right did he have?

But the mere thought of Seraphina standing side by side with Gideon made a suffocating wave of jealousy rise in his chest, making him feel physically ill.

Gideon chuckled softly.

"You still want to chase her? Based on what? The fact that you treated her like garbage? Or the fact that you were blind?"

"Dominic, even if you hadn't hurt her so deeply, even if you were completely innocent, the men waiting in line to pursue her right now are all vastly superior to you. Do you really think you still have a shot?"

Dominic's jaw tightened.

Gideon's voice remained utterly detached: "Maybe someone else could put up a fight."
