Gideon held the car door open, his hand resting on the frame as he watched Seraphina settle into her seat before gently shutting it.

Dominic was standing less than six feet behind him.

Tristan had no idea when he had arrived or how long he had been standing there, but Dominic's eyes were still glued to the spot where Gideon's car had vanished, unable to look away.

"Regret it?"

Dominic finally looked back at him, his brow furrowing almost imperceptibly.

Tristan let the bags in his hands drop to his sides. "I don't blame you. She's brilliant and stunning. Any man would want her."

He took a half-step forward. "But Dominic, since you signed the divorce papers, you need to stop obsessing over her."

He flashed a cynical smile. "I really don't need another competitor."

Dominic stared at him, his voice flat. "I don't regret it."

Tristan raised an eyebrow.

Dominic took a breath. "How could I possibly regret it."

Tristan chuckled softly. "Good to hear."

Dominic shot him a sidelong glance, his tone perfectly calm. "With Gideon by her side, you don't stand a chance either."
