Unloved Unwanted Unstoppable (Seraphina and Dominic) novel Chapter 487

Not long after, it started to rain.

At first, just a few heavy drops splattered against the iron gates, but they quickly blurred into a torrential downpour.

Cynthia remained standing outside the Lockwood Estate, completely drenched.

She stared up at the illuminated second-floor window, her voice completely hoarse as she continued to scream.

"Dominic, come out."

"After all our years together, are you really going to be this heartless?"

"At least tell me to my face."

There was no response from inside the mansion.

The curtains on the second floor twitched briefly before settling back into stillness.

Cynthia gripped the iron bars so tightly her knuckles turned white.

"Have you forgotten who stayed by your side and suffered with you?"

"Have you forgotten who was there for you during your hardest times?"

"Dominic, you can't just toss me away like garbage now that you're successful."

The rain poured down harder.

Her makeup washed away completely, leaving her looking utterly pathetic and ragged.

The security guards stood under the porch canopy holding umbrellas, not daring to open the gates and not daring to try and persuade her to leave.

Inside the mansion.

Dominic stood by his study window, watching the figure outside the gates through the sheet of rain.

His expression was chilling, devoid of any warmth.

A maid walked in carrying a glass of water and asked cautiously, "Sir, should we invite Ms. Ross inside? Letting her stand in the rain like that might end badly."

Dominic's expression remained completely frigid as he turned around and pulled the curtains shut.

"No need. Let her be."

Tossing out those words, he headed upstairs.

The bedroom door shut firmly.

The room was completely silent.

Dominic lay on his bed and closed his eyes, but sleep evaded him.

The relentless sound of rain hammered against the glass.

He tossed and turned, his mind consumed by the image of Seraphina standing under the stage lights during the livestream.

And those words echoed in his head: she wrote this piece ten years ago.

Dominic's eyes snapped open, and he stared blankly at the ceiling.

His chest felt suffocatingly tight.

He forced himself to stop thinking about it and squeezed his eyes shut again.

But as the night dragged on, he barely slept a wink.

By the time dawn broke, the rain had finally started to ease up.

Dominic got up, walked over to the window, and casually threw back the curtains.

Outside the iron gates, Cynthia was still standing there.

She hadn't moved an inch, looking thoroughly like a drowned rat.
