Dominic hung up the phone, shooting her a dismissive, freezing glance.

"If you keep throwing a tantrum, I'll do a lot worse than that."

Cynthia's lips trembled, but not a single sound came out.

She knew Dominic's methods far too well; he always kept his word, and his retaliation would be swifter than she could ever anticipate.

Looking at Cynthia's ghostly pale face, the corners of Seraphina's lips curled up slightly.
